Monday was a significant day for the Minnesota Timberwolves, as it marked not only the unofficial start of the 2021-22 NBA season, but also gave us our first public comments from the team’s new minority owners: Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez.
In Part 1 of our two-part Timberwolves Media Day coverage, Dane is joined by Canis Hoopus Editor-In-Chief Kyle Theige to share their immediate reactions to the introductory press conference for A-Rod and Lore (as well as Glen Taylor). Dane and Kyle also describe what was said before and after the presser, plus shed light on the general atmosphere at the Timberwolves facility that day.
Part 1
For Part 2, Dane and Kyle dig into what Karl-Anthony Towns said at media day, what Executive VP of Basketball Operations Sachin Gupta didn’t, and reflect on how the rest of the roster seems unfazed by the sudden firing of Gersson Rosas and instead appears ready (and motivated) to simply play basketball.
