More on this storyline

Michael Scotto: Naz Reid is the first Timberwolves player to win Sixth Man of the Year. He’s the third undrafted player to win, joining Darrell Armstrong (1999) and John Starks (1997). His 169 threes are the most in a season by an undrafted PF/C. He won by the smallest margin in award voting 👀 pic.twitter.com/m0D3iRvWQD -via Twitter @MikeAScotto / April 24, 2024
NBA on ESPN: Naz Reid (24) is one of six players to win the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year before turning 25 years old 💪 pic.twitter.com/Nc3t8IevH7 -via Twitter @ESPNNBA / April 24, 2024
A global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters picked Reid over Monk and Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis. Reid finished with 352 points and 45 first-place votes. Monk had 342 points and 43 first-place votes. Reid and Monk both received 39 second-place votes and 10 third-place votes. The 10-point difference between the first- and second-place finishers is the smallest margin in Sixth Man of the Year balloting under the current voting format, which began with the 2002-03 season. -via Sacramento Bee / April 24, 2024
