The eight All-Defense selections for Gobert bring him into a tie for the 14th most in NBA history. The only active players with more selections than Gobert are Chris Paul and Draymond Green, both of whom have nine. Among players in NBA history with multiple Defensive Player of the Year Awards and only Dennis Rodman has as many All-Defensive team selections are Gobert.
While Gobert was the only Timberwolves player awarded an All-Defensive team spot, two other Wolves ended up receiving votes. Jaden McDaniels and Anthony Edwards received votes. Last year, McDaniels was named Second Team All-Defense while Gobert was named to the First Team en route to his fourth Defensive Player of the Year award.
