The Best Wolves-Warriors Player Props For Game 1

May 7, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

Naz Reid is one of the best player props in Game 1 of the Timberwolves-Warriors series.

The Western Conference Semifinals are ready to continue with a highly anticipated showdown between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors. The Timberwolves shocked many by dominating the Lakers in round one, while the Warriors narrowly escaped a first-round exit with a tough 7-game series against the Rockets. The Wolves are favored in the series, but betting against the veteran Warriors has previously defeated many bettors. Let’s break down the best Wolves-Warriors player props to target, highlighting value plays based on recent trends, matchups, and projected roles.

The Best Wolves-Warriors Player Props For Game 1

*All Timberwolves vs Warriors player prop odds are courtesy of Bovada as of Monday night.

Jaden McDaniels: Under 13.5 points (-114)

Jaden McDaniels is going to be one of the most important players in this series. Historically, he has drawn the defensive assignment of Stephen Curry. How well McDaniels can contain the greatest shooter ever could end up determining the outcome of the series. But guarding Curry all night takes its toll.

In McDaniels’ last five games against the Warriors, he has only averaged 10.2 points per game. This is despite playing 33.2 minutes a game, running around chasing Curry. McDaniels has also gone under 13.5 points in seven of his last ten games. We think that McDaniels is going to be a key cog for the Timberwolves throughout the series, but expect that to come more on the defensive end than the offensive end in Game 1.

Draymond Green: Under 8.5 points (-125)

Draymond Green is another player who will likely have a huge defensive impact in this series. He put on a masterclass against the Rockets on that end of the floor and also had one of the biggest playoff scoring games of his Hall of Fame career. Green went 7-of-15 from the field in Game 7 and scored 16 points, which was key to the Warriors’ clutch road victory.

Don’t expect the same scoring output for Green in Game 1. Green has only scored more than eight points twice in the last ten games. In the playoffs, he only did it during Game 7. Now he faces another elite defense in the Timberwolves. That’s why we think taking Draymond’s under is one of the best Wolves-Warriors player props for Tuesday night.

Naz Reid: Over 1.5 three pointers made (-104)

Naz Reid is a Warriors killer. Every time he plays Golden State over the last few years, it seems like he always plays his best when stretching out the Warriors’ defense. We expect this trend to continue on Tuesday night. Reid’s ability to stretch the floor against the Warriors allows the Timberwolves to play him alongside Rudy Gobert, a key combination for the Wolves.

Over Reid’s last ten games against the Warriors, he has made at least two three-pointers in every game but two. He hasn’t been so hot from range over his last ten games, though. Reid has made more than 1.5 three-pointers in four of his last five games. And, the Warriors present the perfect matchup for him to bounce back from range. We like him to make at least two in Game 1.
