Happy New Year! Can’t thank y’all enough for the support, the growth of Locked on Thunder has been really amazing. I am also extremely proud/happy to have joined Thunder on SI and Dream Team this year and the reception to that has been great as well. Let’s keep rolling in 2025! – 1:02 AM

Anthony Edwards, Chris Finch with long discussions with the officials that half, as the broadcast was showing. Remember it was after a win in OKC last season and watching Shai get calls all night that a hot mic caught Edwards saying “Cheatin’ ass refs.” – 9:06 PM

The Thunder did more bad than good in the first half, but down just 52-46 at intermission. A LOT to clean up. Turnovers, free throws, working for better shots, etc. Going to be interesting to see how they respond. – 9:02 PM

This is a really good matchup to see the difference in the ways Rudy vs. Isaiah Hartenstein makes defenses react to the pick and roll. With Hartenstein you have to be aware of his push shot and give him attention on rolls nearly right away – with Gobert the Thunder are able to – 8:35 PM

Isaiah Hartenstein continues to impress as a passer, just threading the needle to Kenrich Williams setting up an easy look. – 8:32 PM

It did not lead to anything, but what an impressive sequence of offensive rebounds for OKC with Ajay and Kenrich swooping in to steal OKC extra chances. – 8:31 PM

OKC makes it 20-17 as Lu Dort finds Isaiah Joe cutting to the rim for a layup, the Timberwolves need a timeout. – 8:28 PM

Ajay Mitchell navigated that screen perfectly to get poke the ball out. Just does all the little things well which adds up to big production from the rookie. – 8:26 PM

Jalen Williams is playing some excellent defense tonight – as expected he has been great on that end all year but still impressive tonight. – 8:22 PM

Cason Wallace misses a floater but stays to defend Julius Randle 94 feet and rips him. Creates chance for OKC as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander nails a baseline fadeaway. – 8:13 PM

#Browns signed RB John Kelly Jr. and placed WR Cedric Tillman (concussion) on injured reserve.
They also signed RB Aidan Robbins and TE Cameron Latu to the practice squad, released K Andre Szmyt from the practice squad, and waived LB Brandon Bouyer-Randle from injured reserve. – 11:17 AM

Got great questions for my last mailbag of 2024. Went long on three!
– Does a realistic Jared McCain trade exist? I’m circling two feasible targets
– Could the Sixers get their first-rounder back from OKC?
– Who should they want to face in the playoffs?
