Oh Mo Ibrahim…we hardly knew ye
It was a slow week for former Gophers in the NFL with several on their bye week. The highlight and lowlight of the week was the NFL debut of Mo Ibrahim—and the season ending hip injury he suffered on his sixth NFL snap. Get well soon Mo!
Other than that Tweze did his usual thing, as did Benji St. Juste.

Mo Ibrahim—RB—Detroit Lions
Week 7 @Baltimore Ravens
Mo was resigned to the Lions practice squad last week after the linjuried to several of their other running backs. He was called up form the practice squad and made his NFL debut on playing six special teams snaps. Unfortunately on the 6th one he fielded a short kickoff by the Ravens and returned it for about 6 yards before he was hit awkwardly sending him flying and to the ground with an awful leg injury. He remained in Baltimore on Sunday night and had hip surgery and will obviously miss the remainder of the season—and who knows what this means for his NFL future. Another brutal blow for the star Goper.
Lions’ Mo Ibrahim suffered a very serious leg injury today on his first career touch.

Campbell says RB Mo Ibrahim had surgery last night to pop his dislocated hip back into place. He’s walking around, but it’ll be a while before he plays football again. #Lions
