The Gophers start the summer with a splash
Head coach P.J. Fleck and co. hosted their annual “Summer Splash” recruiting event this past weekend. There are always a handful of verbal commitments coming out of the weekend and this year’s was no exception, with Indiana edge rusher Aaden Aytch the fourth to grab an oar.
He was previously committed to Northern Illinois.

Scouting Report
Aytch is a high-upside edge rusher with prototypical length and a developing frame. He recently added about 20 lbs. to his frame, which should translate to more size and strength on the field this fall. As he continues to develop physically and add strength and explosiveness, Aytch has the potential to be a disruptive defender off the edge. He was initially committed to Northern Illinois but has seen his recruiting heat up in recent months with a flurry of Power 4 offers.
