Scouting Report
Benson has played both offensive and defensive line at the high school level, but his future has shifted to the defensive side of the ball during his recruitment, specifically defensive tackle. He is explosive off the line of scrimmage, making him a disruptive presence in the interior. Benson has good size and an ideal frame, but he’ll still need to add weight and strength at the next level. He seems best suited as a three-technique right now, but depending on how he matures physically, Benson could end up a zero-technique. Wherever he ends up, he has the quickness and strength to be an imposing force on the defensive line.
