Scouting Report
Meier comes to Minnesota with a big frame that projects to be a tackle at the next level. He has been adding strength to go with that 6’6” frame. Meier plays for Parker High School in Janesville, which is in Wisconsin’s largest division and competes with Madison area high schools in their conference.
The Gophers were the first Big Ten and P4 school to extend an offer to Meier. Not long after he also received offers from Wisconsin, Indiana and Auburn. But ultimately he chose Minnesota because of the culture and the feeling that Brian Callahan would be able to develop him.
Along with Meier, Minnesota is bringing in Andrew Trout to give the Gophers bookend tackles who both rank among the top 50 tackles in this year’s class.
