Tiny Nick’s Gambling Picks 05/25

May 26, 2025 by Zone Coverage

Locks

NBA (0.5 Unit) Indiana Pacers Team Total Over 112.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:00 PM CT on TNT

The Knicks cannot stop the Indiana onslaught, not even in a desperation spot at The Garden, so I don’t see it happening on the road here. The Pacers will be in a massively hyped home spot tonight, looking to run it up and take the insurmountable 3-0 series lead. The Pacers were one of the league’s more up-tempo teams at home, and that style has been wrecking New York’s lack of depth. Indiana has averaged 118.4 PPG at home in these playoffs, and a quickly tiring Knicks squad should not be able to slow them down.

MLB (0.75 Unit) Philadelphia Phillies -0.5 First 5 Innings @ Athletics (-110; Odds via BetMGM): 3:05 PM CT on MLB Network

The Athletics have been regaining a little of their spunkiness, and the Phillies bullpen has not been all that reliable lately. So I want to attack this pitching matchup that is extremely one-sided in favor of Philadelphia. They have Jesus Luzardo going, who has been one of the best road pitchers in all of baseball, and even an A’s team that is better against lefties will struggle against him. But Philly won’t struggle against Gunnar Hoglund, a rookie who is getting progressively worse as tape comes out on him. Hoglund should give up multiple early runs here, and that should be enough for the Phillies to hold a lead after five innings.
