If the Wizards shoot like they did last night in Minnesota, they can pull any game or half over the total. They did that against a Wolves team with the 3rd-best home defensive efficiency, and now they visit an Atlanta team ranked 26th in that category. This is also a no-rest game for both teams, and with both being strong over bets in such spots this season, I’m expecting plenty of points tonight.
But I see the majority of those points coming early, as has been the case with all of their games this season. While all three meetings went over their respective totals, none of them cleared tonight’s full-game number. But the first halves went 2-0-1 to this number, averaging 123 points and seeing more points before halftime than after in each game. While this number is more than half the full-game total, the trends and back-to-back spot tell me that there’s plenty of value on the over.
