MLB – Twins @ Cardinals ML (-120): 6:15 PM CT on FS1
The St. Louis Cardinals season isn’t over just yet, and their confusing trade deadline approach is further affirmation of that. The Cardinals didn’t sell but their acquisitions were a little baffling. Two left-handed pitchers that haven’t been all that dominant, with J.A. Happ being actually terrible. But the fact that they are buyers tells me this St. Louis team isn’t throwing in the towel, especially after their division rival Chicago Cubs did yesterday.
However, the Twins have given up on this season. This already banged-up Minnesota lineup is even weaker now after the trade deadline. After giving up their best pitcher, it seems as though the vibe might be down in their dugout. These odds are too close to even for me not to roll with the better team at home in what should continue to be a horrible season for the Twins.
MLB – Seattle Mariners ML (-125) @ Texas Rangers: 6:05 PM CT
This one is a pretty simple explanation: The Rangers are not a good baseball team. The odds here aren’t super heavy because it’s looking like Tyler Anderson will make his Mariners debut after having to throw for one of the worst teams in baseball in the first half of the season.
Taylor Hearn on the other side has put together some good innings lately, but the Mariners are America’s team right now, and I’m going to continue rolling with them.
MLB Brewers -1.5 (+110) @ Braves: 4:20 PM CT
What more is there to say about this Milwaukee team? Just look back at my articles the past few days when it comes to the Brewers and you too will see just how consistent this team has been.
The Brewers are hot and although a run line is getting a little greedy here, with plus-odds I think it’s attainable once again. Why fix what isn’t broken? Especially when Brandon Woodruff is pitching. Look for the Brew Crew to keep rolling tonight in Atlanta.
