Fresh off a disappointing series in San Diego and generally disappointing run of losses since the All-Star Break, the Twins return home to take on the lowly Detroit Tigers on the night prior to the trade deadline.
Many of the Twins’ rumored trade targets have already been dealt, including Frankie Montas earlier on Monday. It’s still likely they’ll be active on Tuesday, but perhaps not at the level to which we’d all like them to be.
Minnesota will send Aaron Sanchez to the bump for the first time ever in a Twins uniform, so we’ll see how that goes. He’ll be opposed by Tarik Skubal, who has put together a nice season thus far for the Tigers.
