The Twins go for their third straight series win.

Last night, the Twins used the power of a packed Target Field, the early-2000s vibe of a Nelly concert, and the sheer aura of Joe Ryan to power themselves to a win. This afternoon should be a bit easier without having to face NL Cy Young favorite Paul Skenes. Unfortunately, they’ll have to face the next worst thing for a Twins team that tends to play to the level of their competition: a relatively anonymous rookie named Mike Burrows.
The Twins will counter with opener Cole Sands followed by bulk pitcher Travis Adams. In related news, Zebby Matthews is starting a rehab assignment in AAA on Sunday right before the All-Star break, with the hope he can re-join the rotation shortly after the Buxton show in Atlanta.
Lineups!
The Twins will be without Carlos Correa due to the ankle injury he suffered yesterday. He isn’t expected to miss significant time, giving Twins fans across the midwest some relief after what looked to be a severe injury. For now, Ty France re-enters the starting nine despite his recent struggles, while Brooks Lee takes over shortstop and Kody Clemens slides over to the keystone. The lineup is also missing Harrison Bader for the second straight game.
Win, Twins! Break my recap-induced bad luck!
