Twins pitcher Jose Berrios was named one of three finalists for the American League Gold Glove Award for pitchers Thursday.
Also named were Mike Leake, who began the year with the Mariners before being traded to Arizona, and White Sox starter Lucas Giolito. The winner will be announced on Nov. 3 on ESPN.
Berrios had a .969 fielding percentage in 32 games, committing just one error on the season in 200.1 innings. He had 19 assists and 12 putouts.
No other Twins were finalists. Centerfielder Byron Buxton, who won a Gold Glove in 2017, was short of the innings threshold to qualify for the award.
The finalists were selected by coaches and managers along with information from the Society for American Baseball Research Defensive Index.
