Having sent closer Jhoan Duran to the Phillies last night, the Minnesota Twins have dialed up the 215 area code for the second time in 19 hours:
Phillies are sending outfielder Hendry Mendez and righty Geremy Villoria to Twins for Harrison Bader, according to sources.

Harrison Bader, a one-year free agent signing who became a Target Field favorite for his clutch hitting and wizardry with the glove, will now be suiting up in new shades of red and blue. In 96 games as a Twin, he put up 2.0 fWAR, slashing .258/.339/.439 while manning all three outfield spots.
In return, the Twins improve their outfield and pitching depth. Hendry Mendez is the more prominent name of the two prospects, a 21-year-old corner outfielder who has seen his bat improve the last two seasons advancing through A+ Jersey Shore up to AA Reading. Mendez, whom MLB’s website ranks as the Phillies’ #12 prospect, has never shown elite power, but he has improved his slugging percentage (.391 to .434) and home run total (33 to 8) since joining the Fightin Phils, so the potential for further development is evident.
The second prospect who now joins Minnesota’s farm system, Geremy Villoria, is much more of an unknown. A 16-year-old right-handed starter, Villoria has only pitched in five games in the Dominican Summer League, so it’s hard to draw conclusions about his potential from his profile or statistics right now.
