The Twins lose to the Yankees. Wow. Woaaahhh.
The Short: The Twins played against the Yankees. I don’t think I need to say anymore.
The Long: The Twins played against the Yankees in New York. I don’t think I need to say anymore.
The Longer: I forgot to watch the first two innings of this game because I was performing the typical adult duty of looking at Combat Mecha Xabungle model kits on the internet, but after recalling the game was happening, I was delighted to find the Twins trailing already.
Regretfully, I had missed a Correa dong that briefly silenced some boos, but I had also missed a 2 run homer off the bat of none other than the usual suspect, uh, Trent Grisham. He of the .079 average.
Our own black hole, Christian Vazquez quad-bagged it up in the 3rd to bring the score to 2-2, but before we had time to start having hope, The Yankees scored 3 more in their half of the 3rd. First via a Gleyber Torres double and then a Sac Fly off the bat of Austin Wells.
You ever think about how funny the term “Sac Fly” is? Try to imagine you never hear of baseball. Sounds like a really unfortunate parasite.
At this point I forgot to pay attention again, and THIS happened

So I think that was Vazquez giving the run he earned earlier back with a pitching error, but Gameday is weirdly unclear here.
Anyway, after that Giancarlo Stanton singled in another run. Very Cool, thanks Giancarlo.
Computer pull up a Giancarlo Stanton picture so I can edit it in photoshop to take out my anger at the Twins losing.

Oh, uh, O-okay. I forgive you Giancarlo.
In the 5th Correa’s Sac, Kepler’s double, and Santana’s Single (featuring Rob Thomas, probably) got the Twins up to 5 runs. Unforunately they would stop getting runs at that point.
The Yankees tacked on another later due to another Sac Fly this time from Grisham.
So yeah, the Twins got swept by the Yankees. I expected nothing and was still disappointied.
STUDS: Correa
DUDS: Lopez, sadly.
Comment of the Game: Matt Monitto

Call it Woks Will Haunt.”
