3 Undrafted Free Agents Who Could Make Minnesota Vikings 53-Man Roster

May 12, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Logan Brown Scouting Report

The Minnesota Vikings had a small five-pick draft class, but supplemented their small draft class with a large class of UDFA signings. The Vikings have made several quality UDFA signings in the Kwesi Adofo-Mensah era, and this year’s class of undrafted free agents once again has a number of candidates who could end up being impactful players for the Vikings.

Minnesota Vikings UDFAs Who Could Make An Impact On The Team In 2025

OT Logan Brown, Kansas

Brown is one of the most talented prospects not taken in the 2025 NFL Draft. A former Top-10 overall, five-star high school recruit, Brown is a naturally talented football player with good size and athleticism. Brown has long 34-inch arms and stands over 6-foot-6 inches, but also has incredible speed and agility for his size. He had an impressive showing at the NFL Combine, testing well in every drill, and displayed his athletic ability in-game at Kansas with quick feet and powerful hands. However, Brown needs to improve his technique, and he lacks a ton of starting experience despite many years at the college level.

The Vikings invested a lot in the offensive line this season with the signings of Ryan Kelly and Will Fries, and drafting Donovan Jackson in the first round. Brown has a chance to help further improve the Vikings offensive line as a promising developmental depth offensive lineman. His athleticism and ability to play either side of the offensive line make him an ideal depth offensive lineman who can fill in multiple different positions if needed.

Edge Tyler Batty, BYU

Batty is a big and powerful defensive end. At 6-foot-6 and 271 pounds with a strong build, Batty wins a lot of reps thanks to his strength and power as a pass rusher. As a pass rusher, he can consistently collapse the pocket, and he is a fairly refined pass rusher with an effective bull rush. Batty is an older prospect who doesn’t possess high-level athletic ability. He may not have the highest ceiling, but he is a high-effort player with good pass rush and run defense ability. Batty could make the final 53-man roster and earn a role as a dependable rotational pass rusher for the Vikings.

WR Silas Bolden, Texas

Bolden’s best route to earning a spot on the 53-man roster is as a standout return specialist. At both Oregon State and Texas, Bolden was a dynamic returner. He had over 1,000 kick return yards on 41 returns during his college career and finished third in the nation in total punt return yards with 315 yards in 2024. He also had a punt return touchdown in both 2023 and 2024, including a 75-yard return in the College Football Playoff against Arizona State. Bolden is a shifty runner who can break tackles and possesses great speed.

On offense, Bolden is an extremely undersized receiver, but he could potentially be an exciting gadget player in that phase of the game. The Vikings have a few other players already on the roster who could also be dynamic return men, but Bolden showed in college that he has the ability to potentially be an exciting standout playmaker on special teams in the NFL.
