8-Year veteran tackle Cam Robinson signed a new contract with the Houston Texans. Robinson, a former second-round pick, spent the 2024 season with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Cam Robinson, Houston Texans, Agree to Contract
After a disappointing finish to the 2023 season, Cam Robinson and the Jacksonville Jaguars entered the 2024 season with postseason aspirations. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, as the team crashed and burned early in the season. This left the organization with no choice but to trade Robinson and a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings for a conditional 2026 fifth-round pick.
Robinson helped stabilize the offensive line while starting the final 10 games of the regular season. Between the two teams, he started all 17 games while earning a 63.2 PFF grade, the 53rd-best mark out of 81 eligible players. Minnesota made the playoffs with an impressive 14-3 record but couldn’t translate that success to the regular season, going one-and-done following a Wild Card loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Cam Robinson originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Alabama product started and appeared in 15 games as a rookie. While he finished with a subpar 52.4 PFF grade, he helped guide the team to the AFC Championship Game during his first year in the pros. Unfortunately, Jacksonville lost their change to go to the Super Bowl after Tom Brady led erased a double-digit fourth-quarter deficit.
After an ACL injury limited Robinson to just two games in 2018, he returned to the field in 2019 and remained an adequate, if unspectacular, starter. Playing out his rookie contract, Cam Robinson spent a season playing on the franchise tag before earning a three-year extension in the 2022 offseason. He spent two and a half of those seasons with the Jaguars before joining the Vikings for the final half of the 2024 season.
