Who will be sitting out of this one?
We’re right around ninety minutes from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium for tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Chicago Bears and our Minnesota Vikings. Both teams have released their inactive lists for tonight’s contest, so let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out.
Chicago Bears
- OL Ryan Bates
- DL Gervon Dexter Sr.
- RB Roschon Johnson
- OT Braxton Jones
- LB Noah Sewell
- DB Ameer Speed
The Bears have announced that rookie Kiran Amegadjie will get the start at left tackle in place of Braxton Jones. It’s his first NFL start, and he’s appeared in five games this year and played 58 offensive snaps. Welcome to the NFL, Kiran. Running back D’Andre Swift is active after being listed as questionable on Chicago’s final injury report. Bates, Dexter, Johnson, and Jones had all been declared out prior to tonight’s game.
Minnesota Vikings
- OL Dan Feeney
- CB Stephon Gilmore
- DL Levi Drake Rodriguez
- OT Walter Rouse
- QB Brett Rypien (emergency QB)
Gilmore was listed as “questionable” for this week’s game on the final injury report but will miss his second straight game with the hamstring issue that started during the Arizona game. The Vikings didn’t elevate anyone from the practice squad for this one, which is why there are only five names on tonight’s inactive list.
Those are your inactive lists for tonight’s game, folks. We’ll have our first discussion thread of the night dropping at 6:30 PM Central time, and we hope that you’ll join us for tonight’s game!
