Are you, in fact, ready for some football?
We’re right around thirty minutes away from kicking things off at U.S. Bank Stadium between the Chicago Bears and our Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. Let’s get you up to speed on everything you need to be ready for tonight’s game.
Date and Time: Monday, 16 December 2024, 7:00 PM Central time
Location: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Television Coverage: KSTP-5 in the Twin Cities, ABC affiliates around the country, ESPN+/Disney+
Radio Coverage: Vikings Radio Network, SiriusXM Channel 225 (Vikings feed), SiriusXM Channell 88 (Westwood One feed), SiriusXM App Channel 820
Line: Vikings -7, Over/Under 44.5
Chris’ Prediction: Vikings 31, Bears 13
Three Keys
1) Don’t get cocky – Yes, the Bears are reeling right now and the Vikings are on a serious roll. However, with a rough end to the schedule coming up, this isn’t the time for the Vikings to let up off the gas. This is a Bears team that could be ripe to be knocked out early if the Vikings can get a fast start, but this is a divisional game, too. The Vikings can’t take this one for granted, and I don’t think that Kevin O’Connell and company will let that happen.
2) Pressure Caleb Williams – Williams hasn’t thrown an interception in a very long time. However, he’s taking sacks at a nearly unsustainable rate, and the Bears’ offensive line has been dealing with quite a bit so far this year. If the Vikings can get to Williams early, he might start hearing footsteps and start losing some of his accuracy.
3) Win on special teams – There were a couple of big special teams plays the first time these two teams met a few weeks ago, and those are the sorts of plays the Bears are going to need in order to have a shot in this one. The Vikings absolutely can’t give them those opportunities.

That should be everything you need to be ready for today’s game at U.S. Bank Stadium. As always, we’ll have a new discussion thread firing up at the start of each quarter, so keep your eyes open for those and keep the conversation moving accordingly.
Here’s hoping that in a few hours we can all get together again and talk about how great it is to have the best record in the NFC. (Along with two other teams, but hey. . .who cares about them?)
SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!
