Who are we looking at here?
Much like we did last season, we’re going to lead up to each game the Minnesota Vikings play by giving you what we feel are some of the best individual player prop bets for the purple against their opponent for that week. As we’re now less than 24 hours away from the Vikings taking the field against the New York Giants, here are the players we’re looking at.
Justin Jefferson: Over (-113) or Under (-113) 81.5 receiving yards
This is an easy one for two reasons: First, he’s Justin Jefferson, and second, the Giants’ secondary doesn’t look like it’s going to be very good. How much more analysis do I need to give you here?
The play: Over
Aaron Jones: Over (-114) or Under (-114) 73.5 rushing + receiving yards
This one’s a bit tougher, since I don’t know how well the Vikings are going to be able to run the ball against this New York front seven. On the other hand, Jones should get some opportunities out of the backfield as a receiver. On the third hand. . .you have three hands, right. . .I’m interested to see how the Vikings divide the workload between Jones and Ty Chandler. I think Jones will threaten this number, but I’m not sure if he’ll get there.
The play: Under
Sam Darnold: Over (-114) or Under (-114) 229.5 passing yards
The Sam Darnold Redemption Tour starts on Sunday. If he’s going to continue to be a quarterback in the National Football League beyond this season, he’s going to have to show something this year while surrounded by the best skill position talent he’s probably ever had. If the Vikings’ offensive line can keep him upright for the majority of the game, he should be able to find some open players against the Giants’ secondary. The Vikings need to get off to a fast start. and I think Darnold can provide that and then some.
The play: Over
