ESPN broadcaster Joe Buck has been on the call for some of the greatest moments in NFL history. But there’s one call he made that he wishes he could have back.
Appearing on This Is Football, Buck lamented his iconic – and often reviled – call on Randy Moss miming that he was mooning the crowd after a touchdown in a Vikings-Packers playoff game back in the 2004-05 playoffs.
Buck’s call on the moment was to say “That’s a disgusting act.” The NFL wound up fining the Hall of Fame wideout $10,000 for his actions.
But Buck said that he now regrets having made that statement about Moss’ celebration back in the playoff game.
“The more time that goes on the more I think ‘man I can’t believe that ever came out of my mouth.'”
NFL fans are happy to see that Buck is walking back his outrage from before:
We ask every guest what play they’d like to have back. The call Joe Buck wants back? Easy. The Randy Moss “That’s a disgusting act” call against the Packers.

“Vikings fans held this against Buck for years (in a way that was probably over the top), but mostly seem to have softened after an all time great call of the Minneapolis Miracle. Hopefully now everyone can put this behind them (and show it our -),” one user replied.
“Love Joe, but agreed that one was not great. He reacted like Randy ACTUALLY pulled his pants down. It also led to one of the greatest viral interviews an athlete ever delivered,” wrote another.
“Forgive Joe Buck, Vikings fans,” a third user wrote.
Do you forgive Joe Buck?
