After six seasons with the Vikings, Kirk Cousins is officially saying goodbye to the city of Minnesota.

Cousins recently inked a reported four-year, $180 million deal to fix the Atlanta Falcons quarterback issues with an average annual salary of $45 million and $100 million guaranteed.

On Wednesday, the four-time Pro Bowler shared a video to his social media account thanking the team and its fans for a memorable stint in purple and gold on behalf of his entire family.

First of all thank you to the tremendous teammates, coaches, support staff, management and ownership of the Minnesota Vikings for the way they have come alongside me and supported me. A quarterback really doesn’t have a chance without great people around him and for six seasons in Minnesota I had great people around me and I don’t take that for granted. It was a privilege to quarterback the Minnesota Vikings … I’d also just like to say thank you to the people in Minnesota, the people of the Twin Cities — you meant so much to my family and as a result of your impact Minnesota will always hold a special place in the hearts of me and of my family. So thank you and God bless.

Thank you Minnesota.

Cousins arrives in Atlanta coming off one of his most productive seasons before going down with an Achilles injury that cut his year short.

Prior to the injury Cousins had been only missed two of a possible 138 games since becoming the full-time starter in Washington earlier in his career.
