Let’s get the week started!
It is, officially, time to get started on preparations for Week 14 for the Minnesota Vikings and the las Vegas Raiders. Both teams released their initial injury reports for the week on Wednesday, so let’s take a look at those situations for two teams coming off of their bye weeks.
Minnesota Vikings
Did Not Participate
- S Theo Jackson (illness)
Limited Participation
- RB Kene Nwangwu (concussion)
- CB Najee Thompson (knee)
Full Participation
- CB Akayleb Evans (calf)
- WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring)
- DT Khyiris Tonga (knee)
Nwangwu must have gotten concussed at some point during the Bears’ game. I’ve attempted to erase that entire game from my memory banks so I’m not entirely sure when it might have happened, but it must have been significant if he’s still dealing with it after the bye week. Evans appears to be on the verge of returning after missing a couple of games with a calf injury.
Oh, and Justin Jefferson was a full participant in practice for the first time since Week 5. He’s back, ladies and gentlemen.
Las Vegas Raiders
Did Not Participate
- DE Maxx Crosby (knee)
- OT Kolton Miller (shoulder)
Limited Participation
- DB Brandon Facyson (shin)
- LB Kana’l Mauga (knee)
Full Participation
No players listed
Both Crosby and Miller starting the week by not participating in practice would appear to be something significant for the silver and black. Crosby was listed as “doubtful” to play against Kansas City the week before the Raiders’ bye and wound up playing anyway, while Miller reaggravated a shoulder injury in that same game. Those are stories worth monitoring throughout the course of the week.
Those are your initial injury reports for Week 14 for the Vikings and the Raiders. As always, we’ll be updating these throughout the week and seeing how things trend injury-wise for both sides.
