The good guys still lead
I’m gonna need everybody to get those fours up, as we’re heading to the final quarter of play in Seattle with the Minnesota Vikings leading the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 20-17.
The home team got the ball first after deferring on the opening coin toss, and they started at their own 35-yard line after a nice return on the second half kickoff. They evened the score thanks to a 43-yard field goal from Jason Myers to make it 17-17 early in the quarter.
Minnesota then got the football for the first time in the second half and took the lead right back, courtesy of a 48-yard field goal from Will Reichard to make it 20-17 with six and a half minutes left.
The Vikings’ defense then forced a three-and-out on Seattle’s next possession taking over inside their own 20 after Kamu-Grugier Hill nearly had a punt block. Minnesota pushed into Seattle territory on the possession, but their drive stalled out and the Vikings punted it away, putting Seattle at their own 8-yard line.
As we move to the third quarter of play, the Seahawks are looking at a 3rd-and-1 from their own 46-yard line.
We’ve got one more quarter of play to go from Seattle, with the Vikings holding on to a three-point lead at 20-17. Can the Vikings hold on for their eighth in a row? Come join us and find out!
