It’s post-draft Monday, waddyathink?
Happy Monday, everyone!
The 2021 draft is over, and I’ll be interested to hear everyone’s opinions on how you feel Spielman and Co. performed. I’ll reserve my comments for tomorrow so as not to influence the poll which you’ll find below. Said poll will gauge the opinion of the Daily Norseman Open Thread members, who are inarguably the most educated, knowledgeable, insightful, and good-looking audience of Vikings fans known to exist in the world.
Here we go, the following poll is only in reference to this year’s draft. Try to limit your opinion only to the draft, and nothing prior to the draft (in other words, don’t use the “well, they did fine, but they should have had a 2nd round pick, so they suck. Try not to do that).
Around the DN since our last open thread:
wludford has an in-depth analysis of Christian Darrisaw. He also has a breakdown of the entire 2021 Vikings draft class.
From Chris, see all eleven 2021 Vikings draftees get the call.
Compared to what we’re used to seeing from Spielman, this draft might be considered a bit boring, from Chris.
Here’s a spot where you can catch up on any Vikings undrafted free-agent signings, from Chris.
Other Vikings/NFL news and random oddities and annoyances:
FoxSports looks at 3 veterans who the Vikings could be cut after the draft.
The Boston Globe puts the Jets among the winners of this year’s draft and groups the Packers with the losers.
From The Vikings Entertainment Network, see highlights of all 11 Vikings draft picks.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Take the gender hatred elsewhere, it won’t be tolerated
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-If discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on, don’t forget to tip the cows, and settle in, it’ll be a while until the real show starts.
