Packers @ Vikings: First Injury Reports

First look into injury statuses ahead of Sunday’s game

The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers issued their first injury reports in advance of Sunday afternoon’s matchup. Here they are:

Minnesota Vikings

From Kevin O’Connell’s comments earlier this week, it sounds like Ivan Pace Jr. may be on track to return for the Packers’ game. It’s more likely that Jalen Redmond will be able to make it through concussion protocol this week after missing the Seahawks game.

Not sure about Moreau and Smith, but the latter seems closer to returning based on O’Connell’s brief comments.

Green Bay Packers

Jaire Alexander is once again on the Packers injury report, listed as a full participant. He was a full participant in last week’s practices as well, but did not play against the Saints. The comment was it still didn’t feel right, so not sure if he’ll play against the Vikings or not. If he does, it will be his first game in over a month.

Safety Evan Williams is most likely not going to play on Sunday as Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur talked about hoping to get him back for the playoffs rather than this week.

The oft-injured Christian Watson suffered a knee bruise against the Saints and exited the game. LaFleur said he could “potentially” play on Sunday.

Quay Walker did not play against the Saints on Monday night, nor did Javon Bullard. The Packers are hoping to get them back on Sunday, but it seems more 50/50 on those two. I suspect the two tight ends on the injury list for the Packers will be able to go on Sunday.

We’ll get a better idea with Thursday and Friday’s reports, so stay tuned.
