On Tuesday, soon-to-be free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins showed off his new jewelry purchase to Instagram. Captioning the photo: “If you haven’t yet found a Grillz-guy, check out Dr. Lebster. 5/5 stars! He doesn’t take Kohl’s Cash, but he does great work. I know @jjettas2 approves.”
Ever since his “Kirko Chainz” persona took off in 2022, Kirk Cousins has attempted to match his teammates’ drip by saying he needs to add some grillz.
Justin Jefferson was even loving it in the comments section. Laughing, “Next we got to get u some diamond ones.” Other plays jumped in adding “Now I gotta get mine” and “Kirko Chainz and Kirko Grillz are the greatest alter egos of all time.”
It’s fun to see Cousins fully lean into the bit and it seems to be a great way to bond with his guys. The four-time Pro Bowler has yet to sign this offseason coming off last year’s season-ending Achilles tear. But it’s easy to see why he was such a beloved figure in Minnesota’s organization.
As negotiations continue, the Vikings reportedly “believe” that Cousins wants to remain in The North Star State and they’re trying to do what they can to make sure that’s the case.
Cousins was on pace to put up career numbers eight games into 2023 before his Oct. 29 injury against the Packers.
