But “probably not”
As we relax and watch the rest of Week 8 in the National Football League unfold, we can also start looking forward to the next time the Minnesota Vikings will take the field. That will happen one week from today at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, when the Vikings will battle the Kansas City Chiefs. One of the big storylines for this week will be the status of Chiefs’ quarterback and reigning NFL Most Valuable Player, Patrick Mahomes.
From the sounds of it, the Vikings will not be seeing Mahomes next Sunday afternoon.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that the Chiefs are targeting a Week 10 return for Mahomes. Rapoport also says that there’s an outside chance that Mahomes could play this coming Sunday, but “probably not.”
If Mahomes is not able to go, longtime NFL veteran Matt Moore would get the start at quarterback for the Chiefs against the Vikings next week.
This is, obviously, something that we will be monitoring throughout the week, but as things stand right now it looks like the Vikings will avoid the NFL MVP next Sunday.
