The purple have extended their lead

Everyone hold up four fingers, because we are on our way to the final quarter of play in the 2021 home opener with the Minnesota Vikings leading the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 24-17 and looking for more.

The Vikings got the ball to start the quarter, and they put together a drive that lasted over eight minutes. Unfortunately, Kirk Cousins was stripped on a third down deep in Seattle territory, so the Vikings had to settle for a 43-yard field goal from Greg Joseph to extend their lead to 24-17.

The Vikings’ defense took the field and, for the first time on the afternoon, forced the Seahawks to punt after a sack of Russell Wilson by Everson Griffen. The Vikings then took over and are threatening to score again, as they’re looking at a 1st-and-10 from the Seattle 21 when the fourth quarter starts. If it doesn’t sound like there was a whole lot of action. . .well, there wasn’t. The Vikings held the ball for most of the third quarter and ground out the clock.

We’re fifteen minutes away from the Vikings potentially picking up their first win of 2021, as they lead the Seattle Seahawks by a score of 24-17 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Can they pull it off? Come watch with us and find out!
