On the latest episode of “Undisputed,” FS1 personality Skip Bayless referred to a Pro Bowl quarterback as the most overpaid player in NFL history.
Bayless made it abundantly clear that he’s not a huge fan of Kirk Cousins. The main reason why is because the veteran quarterback hasn’t been very successful in the playoffs.
Another reason Bayless called Cousins overpaid is because he has earned over $231 million in his career so far.
“To me, Kirk Cousins is way overrated at a position that remains in the National Football League understocked,” Bayless said. “There are not enough to go around – quality, playoff-caliber quarterbacks. Even though he is playoff-caliber, I’ll give you that. He’s been in good spots a couple of times where they got to the playoffs, but he flamed out. He’s 1-3 [in the playoffs].
“He is, to me, the most overpaid single player in the history of the National Football League.”
Cousins has a chance to add to his career earnings this offseason. Despite suffering a torn Achilles last fall, he’ll be the top option at quarterback in free agency.
And even though Bayless may not be a fan of Cousins, there’s no denying how consistent he’s been over the past decade.
