ARLINGTON, Texas — Vikings cornerback Trae Waynes was inactive on Sunday night against Dallas because of an ankle injury.
Waynes, who had been listed as questionable, was replaced in the lineup at AT&T Stadium by Mike Hughes. Defensive end Stephen Weatherly, who had been questionable with a groin injury, was in uniform.
The Vikings on Friday had listed as out wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) nose tackle Linval Joseph (knee) and safety Andrew Sendejo. Those three along with Waynes were inactive Sunday along with center Brett Jones, guard Dru Samia and tackle Oli Udoh.
Waynes had been limited in practice Wednesday because of his ankle injury. He then missed practice on Thursday and Friday when he was away from the team to attend to a family issue.
Rookie Bisi Johnson replaced Thielen in the starting lineup and Jaleel Johnson filled in for Joseph.
Inactive for Dallas were wide receivers Cedrick Wilson and Devin Smith, defensive end Joe Jackson, linebacker Luke Gifford, center Adam Redmond, tackle Cameron Fleming and defensive tackle Trysten Hill.
