Vikings Game Against Indianapolis Flexed to Sunday Night Football

Well, this is unexpected

If you’re planning on attending the Minnesota Vikings’ next home game, you’re going to have to alter your schedule a bit.

The NFL has just announced that the Week 9 contest between the Vikings and the Indianapolis Colts has been flexed to Sunday Night Football. The game that had originally been scheduled for that spot between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles has been moved to the late afternoon window that day.

Of course, the last time the Vikings and Colts got together in 2022, we all got to witness the greatest comeback in the history of the National Football League, as the Colts took a 33-0 lead into the locker room at halftime only to have the Vikings come back and complete a 39-36 victory on Greg Joseph’s game-winning field goal as the clock ran out.

I don’t know if we’re going to have that level of drama when these two teams get together in two weeks, but perhaps NBC is banking on a repeat of that.

This will make three appearances in prime time for the Vikings this season. They will, as we know, appear on Thursday Night Football in a couple of days against the Los Angeles Rams along with their (now seemingly) annual game on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.

So, if you were planning on being in the crowd for Colts at Vikings, you’ll be waiting all day for Sunday Night and, in all likelihood, getting home in the wee hours of Monday morning.

What do you think of this change of plans for the NFL, folks?
