It’s been two months since we last saw reigning Offensive Player of the Year Justin Jefferson play in an NFL game. But the Minnesota Vikings are finally bringing him back to the active roster.
On Friday, the Vikings announced the return of Jefferson ahead of Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Jefferson has been dealing with a leg injury and has not played since Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Prior to his injury though, Jefferson was putting up insane numbers for the Vikings – yet again. He had 36 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns with over 450 of those yards coming in just the first three weeks.
The Vikings sorely need Jefferson if they hope to stay one step ahead in the race for a playoff spot – or even contend for the division.

The Vikings have gotten some good production out of quarterback Josh Dobbs ever since he took over for the injured Kirk Cousins. But a four-interception performance against the Bears before their bye week led many to wonder if they could be real contenders in December and January.
Now that Jefferson is back and at full health, the Vikings can find out for sure.
The Vikings play the Raiders at 4:05 p.m. ET on Fox this Sunday.
