Who Do Vikings Fans Think Will Lead the Team in Rushing and Sacks?

Let’s find out with our survey for this week!

We’re only about a week away from all of the Minnesota Vikings’ veterans reporting to training camp, and we had a couple of final questions for you from our SB Nation Reacts before things get going on the 2025 NFL season.

Specifically, we asked you purple fans who you think will wind up leading the team in a couple of the major statistical categories. The first one was rushing yardage, and this one came out just about the way I expected it would.

Of those who responded to our poll, 63% believe that Aaron Jones will wind up leading the Vikings in rushing yardage, while 37% went with the newly-acquired Jordan Mason. I think it’s going to be really interesting to see how they split the carries between these two guys, given Jones’ age and his propensity for injury, but if Jones stays healthy again I think he’s the safe bet on this one. I would not, however, be surprised to see Mason with more rushing touchdowns than Jones does because he’s likely going to be called upon a lot down in the red zone.

Our other question was who you thought would lead the Vikings in sacks in 2025. There were no shortage of candidates for this one, but the results were a little more one-sided than I thought they might be.

The majority of folks believe that the man who will lead the Vikings in sacks in 2025 will be the same one who led them in 2024, Jonathan Greenard. A full 60% of our respondents believe that Greenard will be the team’s sack leader again, with Andrew Van Ginkel coming in a pretty distant second at 22%. There were 10% of our voters who believe that Dallas Turner will have a pretty big Year 2 and lead the team in sacks, while a couple of new guys combined for 7% of the vote in Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave. And, yes, there were 1% of our voters who believe that someone other than one of those five guys will lead the team in sacks this coming season. I’m not sure who that person would be, but apparently there’s someone I missed when I put the choices together.

That’s it for this week’s SB Nation Reacts results about our Minnesota Vikings. Thank you, as always, to everyone who participated in this week’s poll and keep your eyes out for the next one!
