NHL Predictions

Colorado Avalanche vs Minnesota Wild

2024-25 Season Series: Avalanche 2-2 Wild

How to Watch:

U.S. TV: Altitude; Fan Duel Sports Wisconsin; Fan Duel Sports North; ESPN+

Time: 3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EDT)

We kick off NHL predictions with our featured game between the Colorado Avalanche and the Minnesota Wild. Colorado is expected to give Scott Wedgewood the start in goal. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Avs are rolling with a 10-game winning streak and staking their claim to being the best team in the league. Nathan MacKinnon is making an early case for the Hart Trophy with 18 goals, 21 assists, and 39 points so far this campaign.

Jesper Wallstedt is the projected starter for the Wild, and he has yet to lose in regulation this season. Minnesota has its own lengthy winning streak with a six-game run, which makes it 8-1-1 in the last 10 games. Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy have identical stat lines of 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points for the Wild.

This should be a great early-season matchup, but the Avalanche will keep the good times going with a win. Also, note the early start time of this and many of the games on today’s slate.

Prediction: Avalanche win 4-3.
